Based on the methodology for assessing effectiveness of the legislation, this document will attempt to:

1. evaluate occurrence of conflict of interest within public authorities and local self-governing bodies of Ukraine;

2. assess the state of the effective legislation in the area of legal regulation of conflicts of interest in terms of any existing conflicts, contradictions, incompleteness, gaps;

3. study the state of the current judicial practices of application of laws in the area of legal regulation of conflicts of interests;

4. present conclusions and recommendations on improving the efficacy of the legislation in the area of legal regulation of conflicts of interest.
