Syria: A Crisis within a Crisis_Socio-Economic Impact Assessment

Over the past eleven years, Syria has been witnessing one of the most complex humanitarian crises of our times. Globally, the COVID-19 pandemic has partially disrupted supply chains of food, medicine and other basic commodities, which have also affected Syria. The scale of the pandemic has created profound challenges for around 14 million people already in need of humanitarian assistance. The fragile health system and supply chains have further contributed to increase vulnerabilities, particularly among women and children, loss of jobs and incomes, and food insecurity.
