(Past Event) Join us at SFFxSWITCH 2020!

November 8, 2020

It has been a tough year all around, and so much is uncertain. But we at the UNDP Global Centre Singapore are excited to share with you what we have been working on, to explore further how tech and innovation can play a part in a more resilient future, beyond the pandemic – and hopefully bring some inspiration to your day. #BuildForwardBetter

We are pleased to cordially invite you to attend the Singapore Week of Innovation and TeCHnology (SWITCH 2020), and the parallel Singapore Fintech Festival (SFF) happening virtually next week from 7-11 December 2020. We are a key partner of this global virtual conference, and have put together a diverse agenda of topics and discussions over the week that centre around tech and innovation across our three focus areas: smart cities and digitalisation; sustainable and digital agriculture; and sustainable finance.

SWITCH 2020 is the Asia’s leading technology, innovation and enterprise festival, organised in conjunction with SFF. With over 200 online conference sessions covering the latest trends in emerging technology, deep tech and Fintech across a variety of themes, you will have access to global perspectives on innovation and enterprise from over 650 international speakers. SFF x SWITCH 2020 is expanding to become the world’s first week-long, round-the-clock, hybrid digital and physical event.

Expect panel discussions, tech showcases, roundtables and sessions on myriad topics:

  • How open innovation is changing the way governments approach service delivery and tech solutions
  • The exciting and innovative developments in the world of sustainable and digital agriculture
  • The importance of robust and secure cross-border data flows
  • How we will redefine smart cities outside of the Global North, and how cities can learn from the successes and experiments of others
  • An in-depth look at circular economies, best practices, and the barriers that remain
  • Digital finance and its central role in helping countries to build inclusive financing systems

Key speakers include Bill Gates, Satya Nadella (CEO, Microsoft), Jacinda Ardern (New Zealand Prime Minister), Achim Steiner (UNDP), Michael Miebach (President and CEO-elect, Mastercard), Julie Sweet (CEO, Accenture), Nandan Nilekani (Co-Founder and Chairman, Infosys), Jane Fraser (Incoming CEO, Citi), Stuart Levey (CEO, Libra Association), Vijay Sharma (Founder and CEO, PayTM), Dr Raghuram Rajan (Professor, University of Chicago), Akon (Founder, Akoin).

We would be honoured if you would join us! (Do note that UN and UNDP colleagues receive complimentary passes - simply write to urantsetseg.ulzhiikhuu@undp.org for instructions on how to register.)
