Nepal Delegation, led by Mr. Rajendra Prasadh Shrestha, Honorable Minister of Federal Affairs and General Administration, visits UNDP Oslo Governance Centres OFFICES
A delegation from Nepal visited Oslo Governance Centre in September 2022. The delegation comprised of government officials and elected representatives from the federal, provincial, and local levels of government. The purpose of the excursion to various cities of Norway included learning and obtaining knowledge and insights from relevant experiences of Norway.

The meeting addressed a broad range of subjects, including federalism, devolution of power, the constitution, as well as the similarities and distinctions between Norway and Nepal. The visit provided an opportunity to reflect on how local governments and municipalities are organized in terms of population, service delivery, and revenue generation.
The insights gained from the study visit will be valuable for Nepal's local level planning and inter-governmental relationships. Furthermore, to improve and enhance its efforts to promote integrity and accountability in governance processes.
Facilitating dialogue and engagement on matters related to - and for governance is central to the work and function of Oslo Governance Centre.
