Under the EU-PH Partnership for the Green Economy (EU-GEPP, the Green LGUs Project aims to enhance the capacities and practices of LGUs on circular waste economy in collaboration with private and civil society organizations, with focus on Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) groups.
Funded by the European Union (EU) and led by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), the €60 million EU-PH Partnership for the Green Economy (EU-GEPP) aims to support the Philippines’ transition towards a green economy, including a circular economy, reducing waste and plastic, as well as to increase energy efficiency and renewable energy deployment to support climate change mitigation. This programme consists of four Strategic Objectives (SOs): SO1 (National Circular Economy (CE) Policy), SO2 (Green LGUs), SO3 (Private Sector Development) and SO4 (Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy).
