Joint Programme Third Party Monitoring (TPM) Report - July 2021
Joint Programme Third Party Monitoring (TPM) Report - July 2021
December 20, 2021
This report discusses the TPM findings from April to June 2021 for the six components that are being implemented under ERRY II. During this cycle, a total of 514 interviews were conducted (73 percent males, 27 percent females). In addition, a total of 21 FGD sessions were conducted with 134 participants (55 percent males, 45 percent females). The report includes the methodology and approach of the monitoring activities, sections presenting findings and recommendations from the monitoring activities and include annexes that provide detailed information such as data collection tools, verification photos and links to videos taken during field visits.
The Supporting Resilient Livelihoods and Food Security in Yemen Joint Programme (ERRY II), a three-year programme co-financed by The European Union (EU) and Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), was launched in Yemen in March 2019 and is being administrated by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and jointly implemented with the World Food Programme (WFP), Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and International Labour Organization (ILO) in six vulnerable governorates: Hajjah, Hodeidah, Lahj, Abyan, Taiz and Sana’a. However, the monitoring for this round only covered three governorates (Taiz, Lahj and Abyan), as work clearances are still pending approval from the relevant authorities (Hajjah, Hodeidah and Sana’a). The Joint ERRY II Programme aims to contribute to reduced vulnerability and strengthen the resilience of crisis-affected communities in Yemen through the creation of sustainable livelihoods and improving access to basic services.
There are six components of the ERRY II Joint Programme:
- Livelihood and Emergency Employment (UNDP and WFP)
- Solar Energy (UNDP)
- Local Governance (UNDP)
- Social Cohesion (UNDP)
- Skills and Entrepreneurship Development (ILO)
- Agriculture Value Chain (FAO)
