The report summarises the findings of the research undertaken to collect traffic data and study people’s mobility in Batumi City. It describes the findings of available documents and data review, description of current socio-economic situation, actual transport infrastructure, traffic patterns and current organizational and institutional characteristics.

The research lays the ground for developing the urban transport strategy for Batumi assisting the city in shifting for sustainable urban development.  

The research was undertaken by the company A+S Consult GmbH with support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Global Environment Facility (GEF), Batumi City Hall and the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia.
