This Independent Country Programme Evaluation looks at UNDP’s contribution to Viet Nam’s development priorities and how its programme has responded to the country’s evolving context. It finds that UNDP is widely seen as a trusted partner, with important contributions in areas such as poverty reduction, social protection, inclusive growth and climate resilience, alongside its support for policy development and institutional capacity. The evaluation also highlights areas where further strengthening is needed. It points to opportunities to improve how different strands of work come together and are tracked over time, helping UNDP to shape a more connected and responsive programme in the future.
