This ICPE assesses the UNDP contribution to Thailand's development from 2022 to 2025 as the nation navigates a complex development landscape. The evaluation finds that UNDP is a relevant and valued partner, appreciated for its role in convening diverse actors and promoting policy innovation, particularly in its steadfast support for Thailand’s historic advances in LGBTIQ+ rights and in shaping the national biodiversity agenda. While noting some challenges in implementation and sustainability, the report recommends that UNDP's next country programme sharpens its focus on priorities that reflect its comparative advantages, such as climate action and inclusive development. It also encourages leveraging its role as a neutral convenor to support Thailand in addressing domestic challenges and realizing its regional and global leadership aspirations.
