Independent Country Programme Evaluation: Mozambique

July 7, 2026

This Independent Country Programme Evaluation examines UNDP’s contribution in Mozambique during a period marked by insecurity in the north and repeated climate-related crises. It finds that UNDP has been a trusted partner in supporting recovery efforts, strengthening health systems and restoring state presence in areas affected by conflict. The evaluation also reflects on how greater integration across the programme could help address the factors that drive vulnerability and exclusion. Looking ahead, it highlights opportunities for UNDP to build on its experience and partnerships to support more resilient and sustainable development outcomes.
