Independent Country Programme Evaluation: Caribbean

Independent Country Programme Evaluation: Caribbean

October 8, 2026

This evaluation was the first independent subregional assessment of UNDP multi-country programmes for Caribbean small island developing states encompassing three multi-country offices, namely Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. It examined UNDP’s contributions under the 2022-2026 UNDP country programmes and the United Nations Multi-Country Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for the English- and Dutch-speaking
Caribbean up to October 2025. The evaluation results are intended to support strategic planning and implementation
by the Caribbean MCOs; guide oversight and institutional reflection by the Regional Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean and UNDP globally in relation to UNDP’s “Rising Up for SIDS” strategy; strengthen coherence across the UN system in the Caribbean; and inform engagement with national and regional stakeholders.
