New York, 29 December – The company ofo - the world’s first and largest station-free bike sharing platform – contributed $1.2 million to the United Nations Development Programme
By supporting UNDP’s work, ofo is helping make a positive change for both people and planet in nearly 170 countries and territories.
The partnership will also provide financial support to innovative projects that address urban environmental challenges, expected to reach 100 million people, including school children, with campaign messages about the adverse effects of climate change and ways all of us can reduce CO2 emissions.
UNDP appreciates ofo’s contribution at a time when the organization gets ready for implementation of its new plan, in a new era.
This plan focuses UNDP’s efforts on supporting countries to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), but recognizes it cannot do this on its own.
The SDGs are achievable, but only if governments, the private sector and civil society work towards a common purpose, co-create and innovate.
The business case for the private sector to invest in the SDGs is clear. And ofo is doing just that!
