This brochure from 2015 outlines the parameters of UN electoral assistance and the justification for the Global Project for Electoral Cycle Support. It outlines the scope of the Global Project and places it in the context of UNDP’s inclusive political processes portfolio that aims to strengthen state-society relations through more effective, accountable and inclusive institutions, such as parliaments, election management bodies and constitutions-making bodies, while at the same time enhancing civic space and creating an environment in which women and marginalized groups have equal access to decision-and policy making processes.
