UNDP Accelerator Labs in Samoa, Niue, Cook Islands and Tokelau

We work to strengthen institutions for better public services delivery and increase citizen participation to achieve the SDGs through digital transformation.

Our Lab is accelerating sustainable development by enabling and enhancing the capacity of partners, local innovators and communities by breaking silos, building an inclusive innovators eco-system and mapping and scaling up grassroot solutions. Through collective intelligence, citizen science and digital transformation we are working on strengthening public service delivery in Cook Islands, Niue, Samoa, and Tokelau.

Behavior changes in young people for plastic waste segregation and recycling, access to justice for women with disabilities and universal birth and death registration are some of our current projects where we are incorporating the Accelerator Lab's approach of sensemaking, exploration, solution mapping and experimentation to surface a portfolio of best solutions/practices and scaling them.

Our Lab is also dedicated to embedding new ways of working and learning within the UNDP Samoa Multi-Country Office, improving efficiency and portfolio design that is in sync with the fast-paced changing realities of the Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and relevant for building resilient communities.
