UNDP Peru Accelerator Lab

We are co-creating with young changemakers as active shapers of their future, empathizing with their particular way of understanding the country and their contribution to the SDGs.

The UNDP Peru Accelerator Lab is part of the second cohort of 32 Accelerator Labs that started operation in 2020, officially launching in March, 2021. This year the Lab is working on several main challenges: young changemakers, food systems and culture for development. Our main challenge is to understand the role of young people in Peruvian society, especially youth as changemakers and engaged within (and outside) the system, where learnings acquired can help reduce the gap with decision-makers and build up trust with public institutions. During our second main challenge, the Lab partnered with key stakeholders and worked with UN agencies to strengthen a healthy, fair and sustainable food systems, emphasizing changemaker youth as part of the food systems transformation. By the end of the year, through workshops, solution mapping and closeness to citizen problems, our challenge will be to better understand culture as a driver for cohesion and consciousness to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
