UNDP Chad Accelerator Lab

Our team is deepening the reflection on economic diversification to develop promising sectors and to facilitate access to resources.

The UNDP Chad Accelerator Lab is part of the first selection of 60 Accelerator Labs which began in September 2019 with an induction workshop in Kigali. Its official launch took place in December 2019 in N’Djaména.

Our team aspires to strengthen the synergies between all these economic actors, promoters and bearers of values and wealth for participatory and inclusive development at all levels.

In addition to identifying promoters in the field, we are launching competitions which will identify talents in several sectors such as rural development (smart agriculture, renewable energy), digital entrepreneurship, sanitation and water management, environment through recycling, health and education.

Experiments on health, particularly the management of medical waste to avoid contamination, is especially vital in the current context of COVID-19. Additionally, renewable energies and improved sanitation are underway in partnerships with the government and local research institutions.

These interventions allow us to make a portfolio of innovative development solutions for scaling up available to all development actors.
