PUBLIC CALL FOR PARTICIPATION IN ESTABLISHING AND STRENGTHENING DIGITAL INNOVATION CENTERS IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA WITHIN THE DIGITALBIZ PROJECT

DigitalBIZ Project, implemented by United Nations Development Program in Bosnia and Herzegovina (UNDP BIH), announces the launch of public call for participation in establishing and strengthening business, resource and advisory centers in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The public call is open to all legal entities supporting or intending to support digital transformation of micro, small and medium enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

DigitalBIZ project envisages support to institutional partners, companies and other relevant stakeholders in using digital economy to increase the productivity of existing economic sectors, growing new markets, as well as accelerating the overall economic growth. In addition to the inclusion and capacity strengthening of relevant stakeholders in accelerating the transformation towards digital economy, project will also provide financial support to micro, small and medium size enterprises to digitally transform of their businesses. 

The aim of the public call is to select 10 legal entities (institutions, organizations, companies) to participate in the activities of creating and strengthening business, resource and advisory centers. Public call is open to: chambers of commerce, development agencies, technology parks, incubators, accelerators, innovation and research centers, technical and economic faculties competence centres, industrial associations and clusters representing companies and all similar legal entities. 

As part of the Project, the selected applicants will be focused on improving their business models, offers or services for digitalization of business operations in traditional economic sectors. They will have the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive training program lasting several weeks (periodic training tailored to best practices of online performance). The focus of the training is to strengthen the capacity and skills of participants to provide consulting services in digital transformation of the company and to improve the business / service model of the participants themselves. Topics will include, among other things, introduction to the concept of digital innovation centers, innovation management, digital transformation management through various business functions, facilitation of training, etc. The training will be thematically tailored to the needs of the participants with a dynamic and interactive approach to learning. During the program, participants will also receive mentoring support for the development of service lines in the field of providing consulting services for digitalization of business, financial and innovation management. Upon successful completion of the training, the best participants will have the opportunity for additional development capacity and service development, as well as practical work with micro, small and medium enterprises, which will pilot the activities of the digital innovation center.

Specialist and customized training will be on behalf of UNDP conducted by the expert team of Ernst & Young, one of the global advisory leaders in the field of strengthening digital economies and digitalization of companies in the region and various countries around the world.

Application Form

Info session, related to the application and selection criteria, will be organized via MS Teams platform on April 23, 2021 at 11.00. Participation in the session must be confirmed via email: digitaleconomy@ba.ey.com, after which link with access information will be provided.

All interested parties in Bosnia and Herzegovina that meet the criteria for participation (listed in the public call) should express their interest by: 

- Completing online Application Form,  

- Submitting all documentation, as per registration of legal entity (can be found at bottom section of the application form), including: registration certificate, statute, financial statements for the last two years (if available), CVs of all staff providing services on behalf of legal entity in the field of digitalization. 

By applying to this public call, applicants express their willingness and availability to participate in this Program in the period from: June 6, 2021. to July 15, 2021.

Deadline for submission of applications, in accordance with Guidelines, is April 30, 2021 (Friday), by 17:00 which is confirmed by the date of online form completion. Applications submitted in other manners (e.g., by fax or e-mail) will not be taken into consideration, nor applications submitted after the deadline.
