You Me We Us, Thailand

You Me We Us, Thailand

You Me We Us is an online exhibition of stories from people belonging to different ethnic groups. Thailand is composed of many different communities that have been living in the country for decades. You Me We Us invites the viewer to connect with those of different ethnicities through stories of their everyday lives, challenges, limitations, and cultural traditions. Most stories are shared from the perspectives of the subjects themselves.

Thia virtual exhibition invites audiences to play a short quiz on their personal experiences of ethnic diversity in Thailand, and share their own experiences of race, culture, and diversity. It also features Becoming Home, a documentary by Realframe that follows six young men and women who are stateless as they share their daily lives, friendships, struggles, and dreams. Despite the challenges they face, these youth still hold onto hope as they support one another in an environment characterized by social prejudice and lack of legal recognition.

You Me We Us is hosted by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Anthropology Centre, Inter Mountain Peoples Education and Culture in Thailand Association (IMPECT), and Council of Indigenous Peoples in Thailand, with the support from the European Union (EU).
