The Nexus Funding Facility (NFF), administered by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with support from Germany, has launched its first Call for Proposals (Stage 1) to operationalize the Humanitarian–Development–Peace (HDP) Nexus in the Lake Chad Basin.

The NFF operates in close collaboration with the Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC) and the Offices of the United Nations Resident Coordinators in the region. It is managed through a Regional Secretariat composed of UNDP, LCBC, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC).

This call invites eligible organizations — UN agencies, international NGOs, and national civil society organizations — to submit concept notes for projects that promote integrated, area-based, and cross-border solutions in Cameroon and Chad.

The NFF provides catalytic, flexible, and multi-year financing to initiatives that:
    •    Address urgent humanitarian needs while tackling the root causes of vulnerability and conflict;
    •    Strengthen community resilience, peace, and inclusive governance;
    •    Foster collaboration among humanitarian, development, and peace actors under nationally validated priorities.
