Improving
the Way
We Work

Toolkit Development Process

  • This work has been carried out by a task force consisting of representatives from BRSP, Regional Bureaux, Country Offices and BDP
    • Through a number of interviews, a range of needs and demands were identified
    • Some of these demands serve as the foundation for this work, while the others must be addressed later in order to position UNDP for success in this area; some are already being addressed, e.g., by BRSP
  • Key needs and gaps identified by country and regional staff through interviews and email include:
    • Need for analytical and knowledge resources illustrating and supporting a step by step approach to identifying and formulating PSD interventions
    • Need for tools and resources supporting work on partnerships. This is already being provided by BRSP, and the PSD toolkit will link to the resources currently available
    • Better knowledge management, including the collection and dissemination of best practices, lessons learned and regional experiences in domestic PSD
    • Need for more capacity at the country and regional level with an understanding of markets and drivers of private sector behavior, in order to maximize the effectiveness of interaction with the private sector
  • We have conducted interviews with and sought feedback from a number of internal and external resources Click Here
