  • BCPR’s work regarding PSD focuses on Adopt-A-Minefield program with cooperation of United Nations Association of the USA

The Campaign helps save lives by raising funds for mine clearance and survivor assistance and by raising awareness about the landmine problem. Mine Clearance activities are funded in close cooperation with national mine action centers in support of local and international mine clearance organizations. Mine clearance projects include the clearance of specific minefields or support for a mine clearance team over a two-month period. AAM’s survivor assistance program supports the work of organizations that are providing any number of vital services to landmine survivors in the most mine-impacted countries in the world. AAM Survivor Assistance partners are selected on a competitive basis based on Survivor Assistance Criteria. AAM provides support for mine clearance and survivor assistance activities in six permanent country programs – Afghanistan, Bosnia& Herzegovina, Cambodia, Croatia, Mozambique, and Vietnam.
