Review current thinking on domestic PSD among UN system and development partners

  • What are the major views on domestic PSD among the UN system and other players? What views do their regional and country operations hold?
  • What are the key gaps in the PSD strategies of UN and other donors? What are the major strengths?
  • How do development partners (including civil society organizations, the private sector and regional institutions) approach domestic PSD?

Map the business environment and assess the role of the private sector in domestic economic growth

  • Who constitutes the private sector? What is the structure of the private sector?
  • How does the private sector contribute to the economy?
  • How strong is the private sector in terms of access and quality of services, and organizational efficiency?
  • Is the private sector efficient and adaptable to change?
  • What is the quality of governance and transparency?
