SME Support Organisations Network (Technonet Asia/Technonet
Africa)
Technonet Asia/Africa
aims to enhance the quality and competitiveness
of the SMEs in its member countries through information,
technology transfer and human resources development.
This project will establish an electronic network
between Technonet Asia member organizations. The
specific objectives are to connect each of the participating
institutions to the Internet and develop their capacity
to network, thus providing improved information
services. The project will also help SMEs to gain
access to international markets through the Internet.
Africa Asia Business Forum (AABF)
The AABF is aimed at
increasing trade and investment between Asian and
African companies. Since 1999 three (AABF) has been
organized. The responsibility for designing and
implementing the AABF was assigned to UNDP's Special
Unit for SSC. SSC is working to create an electronic
platform that empowers companies to identify partners
in either region over the Internet.
