UNDP's spending for goods and services has tripled in the last five years.

Our annual programme delivery in 2006 was US$4.3 billion, of which US$2.5 billion were spent for goods and services.

UNDP's components of delivery comprise a variety of areas, and cover expenses related to travel and human resources. A big part, about 45%, relates to the procurement of goods and services.

The amount and scope of projects in each region is co-determined by national funding, mainly through cost sharing with local governments. The following statistics are for 2006 and might change in the following year.
