The Global Learning Network (GLN) is a decentralised international partner network of individuals, centres of excellence, institutions and programmes interested in sharing knowledge and pooling resources for joint activities related to public-private partnerships at the local level. The Network provides partners with services which close the gap between practical experience and theoretical analysis through continuing learning from and exchange of best practices and lessons learned from concrete project implementation.
The GLN is composed of three main sections:
- PPP Experiences Exchange.
This section of the GLN fosters the exchange of experiences between PPP colleagues to ensure that the lessons learned by those engaged in PPPs at the local level inform the activities planned by others. Knowledge is exchanged both in person through workshops and online through the PPP Newsletter. The GLN puts members in touch with the PPP specialists services they require through the Consultants Roster on which members can publish their resume. The Events Calendar highlights upcoming conferences, workshops and online events to put members in touch with activities worldwide.
- Professional Development.
The GLN provides its partners with a range of tools that can be used to develop the capacity of themselves and their colleagues at several levels. The PPPUE GLN will develop training materials developed through practical application which will be made available to our partners through these pages. Members of the GLN have also developed the PPP Collaborative Learning course which offers post graduate level study of PPP issues to practitioners, students and researchers worldwide.
- PPP Resource Exchange.
The GLN provides access to a variety of resources including case studies, project information, and publications on public-private partnerships developed by PPPUE and other GLN partner organisations and individuals. The Resource Exchange is an excellent tool for GLN partners to disseminate resources they have developed and to gain access to those produced by the growing community of PPP professionals. Through promoting exchange of knowledge in this way the GLN hopes to assist in advancing current thinking on PPP issues.
PPPUE encourages participation from all institutions and individuals interested or engaged in the issues surrounding public private partnerships at the local level. We welcome suggestions for collaboration under any of the three areas of activity.
