It is the goal of PPPUE to work with and through existing institutions. PPPUE is designed to provide specific expertise on private sector participation that is complementary to many existing initiatives engaged in urban environmental problem solving. PPPUE therefore works with a variety of partners at the country, regional, and global levels. UNDP/PPPUE has signed Memoranda of Understanding with a number of institutions, including the
In addition, PPPUE will continue to collaborate with major urban-environment, local governance and private sector related programmes of the UNDP Bureau for Development Policy (BDP) and the Regional Bureaux. PPPUE offers many windows of opportunity for
partners from around the world,
including donor governments, developing country governments, municipalities
and local gove rnment associations, private sector associations, NGOs, communities,
foundations, academic institutions and development agencies.
