Knowledge Dissemination

IPC is committed to the codification and dissemination of knowledge for application in policy advocacy and design. Towards these ends, below is a partial list of recent research and analytical studies, classified by theme and ordered chronologically (most recent first) of works considered useful for advancing the policy debate on poverty.

Economic Policies
Education
Gender
Health & Nutrition
Income Distribution
Labor Markets & Employment

Social Policies
Vulnerability & Social Exclusion

By gathering and disseminating new research, the centre seeks to support the efforts of developing country practitioners in their quest to devise policies that hield the poor from vulnerabilities and build their asset base to help them escape the chronic cycle of poverty.

There has been a plethora of research in recent years focusing on such concerns as well as related poverty issues. The recommended publications list, while not complete, is seen as a representative sample of this debate and highlights works that have been made publicly available on the Internet by key research centres and organizations around the globe. An emphasis has been placed on profiling the findings of Southern-based researchers and presenting different viewpoints on a given topic. The studies cited should serve as a place to embark upon one's own search for new sources of information on the thematic topics.
