Landlocked Developing Countries
Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) is a group of developing countries that do not have access to the sea. The absence of sealine raises their costs of trading with other nations and imposes serious constraints on their socio-economic development. Out of 42 landlocked countries in the world, 31 are developing countries, of which 16 are also Least Developing Countries. (See also Least Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States)
