Capacity Building for Energy SMEs (CBES)

This project pilot also involved a unique partnership between Total Cambodge, NGOs, educational institutions, and a software company who together aimed to improve the quality of service and range of products and services offered by rural energy retailers, thus also increasing access to energy services in rural areas. Rural Electricity Entrepreneurs (REE)
Lead Company: Total Cambodge
This project pilot involved a unique partnership between Total Cambodge, NGOs, and educational institutions to improve the efficiency of four rural energy entrepreneurs running local electricity grids. The project resulted in several efficiency and quality benefits to the local entrepreneurs and their communities, however no specific financial benefits to the partners. Download project brief
ICT Solutions for the Agricultural and Fisheries Industries
Lead Company: N/A – Project is at the research and evaluation phase
An investment pre-feasibility study was commissioned by the GSB program to identify potential opportunities to use new ICT technologies to improve the livelihoods of rural Cambodians, especially those in the agricultural and fisheries sectors. The pro-poor business models proposed are currently being evaluated for implementation. Download project brief
