Pedro Conceição
is a senior policy analyst and Director at the
Office of Development Studies. His main interest
is, specifically, on knowledge as a global public
good. Prior to joining ODS he was an assistant
professor at the Technical University of Lisbon,
Portugal, teaching and researching on science,
technology and innovation policy. His academic
work also includes research on the relationship
between technological change, economic growth
and income inequality, spanning both empirical
and methodological work on the measurement of
inequality. He has degrees in Physics (licenciatura)
and in Economics (masters) from the Technical
University of Lisbon and a Ph. D. in Public
Policy from the LBJ School of Public Affairs,
the University of Texas at Austin. |

Inge
Kaul is Special Advisor
for UNDP's Office of Development Studies, which
she directed from 1995 to 2005. From 1990 to 1995
she served as director of the Human Development
Report Office at UNDP, where she coordinated a
team of authors producing the annual Human Development
Report. Before that she held senior policy positions
at UNDP. She has extensive research experience
in developing countries and is the author of a
number of publications and reports on development
financing and aid. |

Ronald U. Mendoza joined ODS in August 2001. He holds graduate degrees
in Economics and International Development from Fordham University and
Harvard University respectively. His research background includes work
with the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, the Economist Intelligence
Unit in New York, and several NGOs in Manila. He is the policy analyst
for international trade and finance at ODS.

Romina Bandura is Policy Analyst at the Office
of Development Studies. She holds a graduate
degree in International Development from Harvard
University and an undergraduate degree in Economics
from Universidad CatÛlica Argentina. Her
areas of responsibility at ODS include the analysis
of the public finance implications of international
cooperation. Prior to joining ODS, she worked
in several international banks (Credit Lyonnais,
HSBC and ING Barings) in Argentina in the Research
and Corporate Finance divisions. |

Flora
Aller is Administrative Associate in the Office
of Development Studies at the United Nations
Development Programme. Prior to joining UNDP
in 1985 she was the Administrative Executive
Assistant to the Ambassador of Peru to the United
Nations. |

Rocio Sieli is Information
Assistant in the Office of Development Studies
at the United Nations Development Programme.
She has been with this office since its creation.
Before joining UNDP, she worked in the private
sector. |
