The Strategy of Environmental Treaty-Making

The
book's message is that treaties should not just tell
countries what to do, but rather they must create incentives
for states to participate in a treaty (for more information

here.) This message was elaborated by the book's
author, Scott Barrett, Professor of Environmental Economics
and International Political Economy at the Paul H Nitze
School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins
University. Comments were provided by Ms. Irene Freudenschuss-Reichl
(UNIDO) and Mr. Hosseein Moeini Meybodi (Iran). For
