Participating UN OrganizationsUnited Nations agencies that request funding under the UN-Action MDTF are required to sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the UNDP as the Administrative Agent. The MOU sets out the duties and responsibilities of each party. The entities that sign the MOU are referred to as "Participating UN Organizations". Each Participating UN Organization assumes full programmatic and financial accountability for funds disbursed to it by the Administrative Agent under the UN Action MDTF and its reporting requirements are specified in the MOU. Through a Participating UN Organization, other international organizations, non-governmental organizations and national entities may receive funds from the UN Action MDTF based on a project agreement concluded, as an implementing partner, with the Participating UN Organization in accordance with the regulations, rules and procedures of the latter.
