Overview

A Joint Programme (JP) is a set of activities contained in a common work plan and related budget, involving two or more Participating UN Organizations and (sub-) national partners. The work plan and budget forms part of a JP Document, which also details the roles and responsibilities of partners in coordinating and managing the joint activities. The JP document is signed by all Participating UN Organizations and (sub-) national partners.

When UNDP is selected as the Administrative Agent (AA) of a JP, the accountability for UNDP's function as AA using pass-through arrangements has been delegated to the Executive Coordinator of the MDTF Office, reporting to the Assistant Administrator and Director of the Partnership Bureau, in accordance with the policy governing "UNDP's Accountability when acting as Administrative Agent in MDTFs and/or UN Joint Programmes using the pass-through fund management modality".
