Since the CHF-CAR is an expansion of the Emergency Response Fund (ERF), that was operational from April to July 2008, the above contributions table reflects contributions made to both the ERF and the CHF in Central African Republic (CAR). Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the UK have contributed a total of $8.3 million to the ERF-CAR that preceded the CHF-CAR. Similarly, as shown in other sections of this website, total amounts transferred to Participating Organizations include amounts transferred under the ERF-CAR and the CHF-CAR.
