NGO Executed Projects

To ensure accessibility to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) who are key providers of basic services during humanitarian crisis, NGOs are invited to submit CHF-CAR proposals alone or jointly with a participating UN Organization. To date, 64 percent of the projects funded under the CHF-CAR are projects submitted and implemented by NGOs.

NGOs select two members to participate to the CHF-CAR Advisory Board and an NGO co-cluster lead for each cluster. Within clusters, NGOs actively participate in the discussion on standard allocations and proposals submitted to the CHF Emergency Reserve.

NGOs may receive CHF-CAR funding by signing a project cooperation agreement with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), playing an oversight function as Managing Agent (MA) in accordance with its own regulations, rules and procedures.
