UNDP-Spain MDG Achievement Fund

When the MDG Achievement Fund (MDG-F) decides to invest resources in a given area, a ‘funding window’ is opened for this purpose. Thematic Windows allow the Fund to target specific themes, such as Gender or Democratization. With assistance from experts in that field, Terms of Reference for each thematic window are developed which identify the policy and programmatic goals of the Fund in that area. These Terms of Reference guide applications to the Fund as well as provide a framework for evaluating the Fund’s progress and impact.

As of today, the following thematic windows have been opened by the Fund, with additional windows foreseen in the coming months:
