The goal is to learn from the people on the ground. 

Legal and economic exclusion manifests itself differently from country to country and region to region. To get a first hand understanding of the problems and challenges faced by billions of people living outside formal legal systems, Legal Empowerment partners with local organizations in Africa, Asia and Latin America to organize focus groups and seminars.

In 2006, Legal Empowerment organized consultations in East Africa, East Asia, Europe and Central Asia and Latin America.

The 2007 Consultations will include South Asia, West Africa, Mexico, Southern Africa, North Africa and the Middle East. More information on those consultations will be posted in coming weeks.
