I will not attempt to name all those who have contributed to this initiative. However I will single out the remarkable and resourceful team of facilitators which comprised the following individuals:

Juan Jacobo Hernandez oversaw the revision and adaptation of the workshop materials and the orientation and support of the facilitators. He did both in his usual professional and charismatic way. Marnell Bosma pulled and held the whole thing together and proved to be a tower of strength in the process.

Support was provided by UNDP colleagues in country offices, by colleagues from the Regional Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean, and in particular by Mr. Neil Pierre who provided both substantive and logistic support working with his colleagues in the Barbados office and staff of the HIV and Development Programme. Special thanks to Peter Gordon, Des Cohen and Milica Tomasevic for their invaluable guidance and support.

A final thank you is owed to the participants who came to Barbados in March 1999. Ultimately the success of this initiative will be determined by them.
