The best available estimates indicate that prevalence ratesArab States region are among the lowest in the world. In recent years all Arab countries have however reported increases in HIV/AIDS infections.

The Regional Report documents UNDP’s efforts to break the silence surrounding HIV/AIDS and to advocate for a multi-sectoral response to the epidemic. This report is the first of its kind in the Arab region. It documents the multi-sectoral approach to breaking the silence surrounding HIV/AIDS in the region and is told through the different partnerships UNDP has forged with sister UN agencies, NGOs, Arts and Media experts and Religious Leaders.
