  INGE KAUL

Inge Kaul is director of the Office of Development Studies at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). During 1990 - 95 she was director of UNDP's Human Development Report Office, where she coordinated teams of authors producing the annual Human Development Report. Before that she held other senior policy positions at the UNDP. Kaul has extensive research experience in developing countries and has written numerous publications and reports on development finance and aid.

PEDRO CONCEIÇÃO

Pedro Conceição is senior policy analyst deputy director, Office of Development Studies at the United Nations Development Programme. Previously he was professor at the Technical University of Lisbon, in Portugal, and a researcher at the Center for Innovation, Technology, and Policy Research at the same university. Conceição holds a Ph.D. from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin.

KATELL LE GOULVEN

Katell Le Goulven is a policy analyst in the Office of Development Studies at the United Nations Development Programme. Previously she was a research fellow in the Economics Department at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure Agronomique de Montpellier, in France, and consultant for Solagral, a French nongovernmental organization. She has researched and published articles on microeconomics, institutional economics, agricultural economics, and international political economy. Le Goulven holds a Ph.D. from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure Agronomique de Montpellier and the University of Montpellier.

RONALD U. MENDOZA

Ronald U. Mendoza is the policy analyst for international trade and finance in the Office of Development Studies at the United Nations Development Programme. Previously he performed research for and served as a consultant to, among others, the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, state of New Hampshire, Economist Intelligence Unit, and several nongovernmental organizations in Manila, the Philippines. Mendoza holds graduate degrees from Fordham University and Harvard University.
