Presently, dwindling aid resources are increasingly being directed to global policy priorities such as reducing ozone depletion or strengthening financial regulatory structures. The book proposes that a new category of Official Development Assistance, ODA(G), be established to support initiatives in pursuit of global public goods such as environmental sustainability or financial stability. ODA(C) would remain to support national development objectives of poorer countries.
