The UNDP
Evaluation Office publishes the Handbook
on Monitoring and Evaluation for Results, which sets out UNDP
monitoring and evaluation policies and procedures, and the UNDP
Programming Manual for overall guidance on project preparation.
These policies and procedures apply to all UNDP-GEF projects.
In addition, UNDP-GEF participates in GEF corporate-level
monitoring and evaluation activities coordinated by the GEF
Monitoring and Evaluation Unit. This unit is responsible for
GEF-wide monitoring and evaluation policies and procedures, as described
in Monitoring
and Evaluation Policies and Procedures, and supplement those
of UNDP.
M&E Resource Kit
UNDP-GEF has recently prepared a new resource
kit on monitoring and evaluation for projects under development and
for those in progress. The body of the kit and its accompanying 10
annexes provide essential guidance on all aspects of monitoring and
evaluation throughout the life of any project:
