Programming Climate Change Adaptation

This programming site has been developed to provide guidance on preparing proposals on adaptation-related projects for submission to UNDP-GEF. The site is intended as a companion site to UNDP's intranet and UNDP/GEF's programming manual which outlines streamlined policies and procedures for submitting project proposals.

This programming site on adaptation to climate change offers the latest information on three GEF funding modalities for Adaptation activities. It explains how the available funds can be accessed. The Adaptation Fund, which is based on proceeds of the Clean Development Mechanism, is not operational as yet. The site also provides links to resources on climate change and adaptation, an overview of UNDP's Adaptation Portfolio including examples of ongoing projects in addition to guidance on preparing proposals.

The figure below can be used to "fast track" to a specific adaptation fund and information on accessibility by clicking on the one that is of interest. Detailed information on the funds, and other resources, can also be accessed by using the menu on the left.
