Full ProjectsFull project (FP) grants (for which more than $1,000,000 is requested from the GEF) are awarded in accordance with GEF guidelines as well as the relevant Convention. Proponents of full projects must first submit a FP concept paper to UNDP. A concept paper should provide enough substantive information for UNDP-GEF to determine whether the project concept is eligible for funding under the GEF. If preparatory assistance is needed to prepare the proposal, a preparatory development facility (PDF) block A grant should be requested (see Project Development Facility). A PDF B grant may subsequently be requested if needed. The proponent then prepares the FP executive summary, which needs to receive approval from the GEF Council. Hints
The GEF Secretariat also provides general guidelines for the preparation of proposals at the following site: GEF Operational Strategy (Operational Guidelines) Templates The use of the formats in the templates below assists project proponents and UNDP-GEF to ensure that all eligibility requirements are met, and facilitates the review of the submission by the GEF Secretariat. The templates offer more detailed information on the requirements for preparing FP proposals and give the format to be used. In order to put a full project into effect, UNDP prepares a legal document to complement the FP proposal below. Please Contact Us for assistance. |
