Objective of these web pages:
encourage and facilitate the design of GEF project on energy efficiency S&L

These web pages are meant to provide UNDP staff, programming officer, project designer with policy and technical guidance for expanding GEF portfolio activities on climate change with energy efficiency Standards and Labels programme. Energy efficiency standards prescribe the energy performance of energy consuming products. Energy efficiency labels are affixed inform consumers about the energy consumption of a given products. Standards and Labels can be combined and serve as powerful policy instruments to transform the market toward higher energy efficient products and hence contribute to substantial greenhouse gas reductions.
