Green power for rural areas in India
In Karnataka, a new biomass gasifier plant that uses carbon
neutral biomass to produce electricity for rural villages is supported
by the Global Environment Facility (GEF)/UNDP, India Canada Environment
Facility and the Government of Karnataka, and is managed and run by
the community, March 24
