Equator Initiative Activities at CSD12

As the first substantive CSD session since the World Summit on Sustainable Development, CSD-12 will incorporate a variety of events, including a number of innovative meeting formats.

The UNDP, Equator Initiative will work in conjunction with GEO magazine, The German Mission and GTZ to open the “Focus On Nature” exhibit in the lobby of the Secretariat on April 22. The exhibit will run through the 8th of June 2004. A reception will celebrate the launch of the exhibit along with the presentation of the Equator Prizes to three of the winners from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The celebration will continue around the world, as the remaining three winners of the Equator Prize will be presented with their awards in their home country offices.
