5 June 2004 National Equator Prize Awards Ceremony to honour Costa Rican finalsit Monte Alto, San Jose, Costa Rica.

The President of Costa Rica, Señor Abel Pacheco de la Espriella, marked the occasion of World Environment Day with an official award presentation to Equator Prize 2004 finalists, "Fundacion Pro Reserva Forestal Montel Alto". The ceremony was held at the Presidential Mansion in San Jose, Costa Rica. Below are photos from the event showing representatives from the finalist community receiving their award cheque for US$30,000 and a certificate of merit from the President.
