ANNUAL PROGRAMME/PROJECT REPORT

Purpose
The annual programme/project report (APR) is designed to obtain the independent views of the main stakeholders of a programme or project on its relevance, performance and the likelihood of its success. The main stakeholders are the target groups, programme or project management, the key government agency responsible for the programme or project, and UNDP.

The APR aims to:

The questions on relevance are meant to determine the extent to which the objectives and target groups of the programme or project remain valid and pertinent as originally planned or as subsequently modified owing to changing circumstances within the immediate context and the external environment of the programme or project. The questions about performance pertain to effectiveness, efficiency and timeliness. The questions on success focus on the potential impact, sustainability of results and contribution to capacity development of the programme or project.

Preparation and Submission of the APR
The preparation of the APR must begin in October. The final report must be submitted to the UNDP country office no later than November 30.
