2nd African Drought Risk and Development Forum (16th – 18th October 2006, Nairobi, Kenya)

The African Drought Risk and Development Network’s second annual Forum took place in Nairobi, focusing this year on the Greater Horn of Africa in light of the recent drought triggered food crises in this sub-region of Africa.  It brought together some 75 policy makers, other government officials, UN agencies, donors, practitioners from local and international NGO’s and CBO’s, the media and applied researchers from around Africa, South and East Asia to exchange practical experiences, findings and ideas on how to ‘drought proof’.
